DESCRIPTION:A FREE event open to the public to learn more about the arts in Stanly County. \nStudent Art Show:  Come view the county-wide student art show\, showcasing the best from each elementary\, middle\, and high school in Stanly County plus work from the advertising\, graphic design\, and simulation and game animation students from Stanly Community College. See below for list of participating schools and art teachers. \nArtisans:  a variety of artisans will have booths demonstrating their craft as well as selling their creations.  See below for demonstrating artists. \nInformation Booths:  Each arts organization will have a booth to promote their upcoming events as well as recruit new members or volunteers.  Arts-based businesses will be there selling their goods or available to answer questions about lessons\, etc.  See below for full list of exhibitors. \nLive Performances:  Performances from choirs\, bands\, dance and theatre troupes will entertain audiences throughout the day in the auditorium as well as the lobby.  See poster below for schedule. \nCreation Station:  an opportunity to create your own art to take home with you!  Learn how to marbelize paper\, water color techniques\, create a rain stick\, and more. \nLocal Authors:  Meet local authors and peruse & purchase books they have written.  See below for list of participating authors. \nRaffles:  a chance to support the arts while taking a chance on winning great prizes \nAwards Ceremony:  at 1:45 pm we will announce the 2025 Arts Person and Fine Arts Teacher of the Year!  Don’t miss it! \n \n

Airing quilts outside has a long tradition in America beginning in colonial times. DESCRIPTION:With over 30 years of experience as a quilter\, a former teacher\, and as a former student of Suzi Parron (author of Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement)\, Tiffany is excited to offer this popular class to our area.\nA Class Fee of $55 includes $30 for the cost of supplies\, a 2’x2′ primed piece of outdoor grade sign wood and all paint needed to create your masterpiece.\nStudents will need to bring:\n1″ green painters’ tape\na pencil and eraser\na yardstick or long\nstraight edge at least 24″ in length\, and a hairdryer.

DESCRIPTION:This is a chance for our members to show off their amazing artistic talents. To enter this show you must be a member of the Stanly Arts Guild. (Yes\, memberships are accepted during art take-in for the show!) Awarded prizes are 1st\, 2nd & 3rd place\, with honorable mention ribbons being handed out at the judge’s discretion. Our next Member’s Show will be January 14th thru February 7th\, 2026. Art take-in will be January 9th & January 10th\, 2026. All entries must not have previously won a ribbon in a Stanly Arts Guild show. Show information can be found on our website and membership applications can be found under the “join” tab. Or\, you can always stop by for a visit as The Guild Store and pick up a copy.
