Let the Food Trucks do the cooking for you on Friday, April 9th from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Participating Food Trucks: On-Time Snacks; Hilltop Seafood; Barbara’s Treats; Smith’s Cafe; Elizadale’s Tacos; Wildfire Pizza; Hot Diggity Dog; Mottzella’s Pizza. Airing of the Quilts

It’s already time to begin filling the April calendar with notable arts opportunities and this free one is a must see! Plan now to join the Stanly County Historical Society in recognizing the art of the quilt! In the historic setting of the 1852 Isaiah W. Snuggs and Freeman-Marks Houses, the AIRING OF THE QUILTS will feature quilts by members of the Three Rivers Quilters Guild and the Stanly County History Center’s Civil War-era quilt collection. Please note: the airing is dependent on the weather and will be rescheduled as needed.

Spring 2021 Concert

Looking forward to getting back to some in-person arts experiences? What better way than to strike up the band! The Stanly County Concert Band along with the Pfeiffer University Concert Band will offer a FREE spring concert this April at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center. West Stanly Players present “Daddy’s Dyin, Who’s Got the Will?”

Daddy’s Dyin’ takes place in the summer of 1986 in Lowake, Texas, and follows the adventures of the Turnover family as they try to settle their dying father’s affairs before he inevitably kicks the bucket. The problem is, that he has misplaced his will, and it is up to his four children to find it. Unfortunately, they are less concerned about the will, and more with bickering amongst themselves about who wronged whom in the past.
