Theatre – Nonprofit
Playtime Children’s TheatreOne of the two non-profit organizations under Uwharrie Youth Arts (the other being City Youth Ballet), this group offers students the opportunity to participate in a theatrical performance with no previous experience necessary.
The Talent CompanyThis youth-based musical theatre organization produces shows that are acted, directed, and designed primarily by youth ages 18 & under. They have an adult board of directors as well as a youth board. Featuring 2 major performances a year, this organization gives kids and teens the opportunity to experience musical theatre and build relationships with their peers.
The Uwharrie PlayersThis organization is a long-standing local non-profit community-based theatre dedicated to bringing locals together in high-quality theatrical performances. Their season consists of 3 main stage shows.
