    Playtime Children’s Theatre

    One of the two non-profit organizations under Uwharrie Youth Arts (the other being City Youth Ballet), this group offers students the opportunity to participate in a theatrical performance with no previous experience necessary.

    This youth-based musical theatre organization produces shows that are acted, directed, and designed primarily by youth ages 18 & under. They have an adult board of directors as well as a youth board. Featuring 2 major performances a year, this organization gives kids and teens the opportunity to experience musical theatre and build relationships with their peers.

    City Youth Ballet

    An open youth-based non-profit dance organization that allows children and youth to participate in and develop an appreciation and respect for dance and Ballet. The City Youth Ballet performs the Nutcracker every other year. Anyone can audition, no experience necessary. This organization operates under the Uwharrie Youth Arts.
