We are so excited to welcome back the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra to Stanly County!! This has become an annual tradition for our community since 2018. The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will grace the stage at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center (26032 Newt Rd, Albemarle, NC) for a full-length evening performance on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 7:30 pm with the program “A Magical Evening with the Charlotte Symphony.” This program includes selections by classic masters of Mozart and Beethoven, as well as favorites by John Williams, truly a program designed to bring the magic of the symphony to life with selections from classical to modern day.
With our mission being “to encourage and promote broad-based cultural and educational activities in the arts throughout Stanly County” we want to make sure that everyone is able to partake in this opportunity. Our goal is to ensure that ticket prices are not cost-prohibitive. Fortunately, the local business community recognizes the importance of this concert each year. Their generosity ensures that financially we can afford to bring this world class concert to the local community. Special thanks to all of our sponsors:
First Bank and Corning as our Maestro (title) sponsors. Dr. John Kilde of Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat, Uwharrie Bank, Starnes Bramlett Jewelers, and Atrium Health Stanly. Our soloist sponsors include The Village of Misenheimer, Larry McGuire Realty, Jason & Kelly Dombrowski, Steve & Elaine Coats, Patti Furr, and a few anonymous fans! Our media sponsors include the Stanly News Journal, The Stanly Record, and 1010WSPC/WZKY1580am & 103.3 FM. Grassroots grant funding from the North Carolina Arts Council ensures that throughout the year we are able to bring cultural experiences to our community.
Pfeiffer University and Stanly Community College join forces to continue the Free Student Ticket. This sponsorship allows any student in Stanly County from Kindergarten through seniors in high school to receive a free ticket to the performance with a paying adult. These tickets will be made available at the schools the after October 15. As part of the sponsorship, Pfeiffer University and Stanly Community College students also receive free admission just by showing their student ID at the door.
Everyone should enjoy the majesty of hearing a Symphonic Orchestra in person. We are grateful for the program that guest conductor Daniel Cho has put together for us.
We are grateful for the support of the community in welcoming back the Charlotte Symphony to Stanly County.
