Open Auditions for Uwharrie Player’s “Little House on the Prairie”

Little House on the Prairie will be directed by Heather Wilson-Bowlby and will be performed at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center
​July 29th, 30th, August 5th & 6th at 7:30 PM and July 31st and August 7th at 3:00 PM.

To be a part of this wonderful summer Stanly County tradition, come and audition on May 22, from 2pm – 4 pm and May 23, from 7-9 pm at the Uwharrie Players Clubhouse at 546 East Main St., Albemarle, NC.

How to prepare:

• Bring 16-32 bars of sheet music or accompaniment.
• Wear comfortable clothing. Be prepared to dance (square dancing and Irish jig influenced.)
• Be ready to cold read from the script.

Character Descriptions:

• Laura Ingalls:  16-24 years old (Vocal range:  G3-E5)
• Ma:  30-50 years old (Vocal range:  G3-B5)
• Pa:  30-50 years old (Vocal range: G2-B5)
• Mary Ingalls:  16-24 years old (Vocal Range:  B4-F#5)
• Carrie Ingalls:  10-13 years old (Vocal Range: D4 – F#5)
• Almanzo Wilder:  20-30 years old (Vocal Range: G flat 2 – A5)
• Nellie:  16-24 years old (Vocal Range:  B Flat 3 – F5)
• Mrs. Brewster:  30-60 years old (Vocal Range: B flat 3 – B flat 4)
• The Remaining Cast ranges anywhere from 8-99 years old
