Stanly Arts Guild presents High School Art Shows

Each year, the Stanly Arts Guild works with the local high school art teachers in Stanly County to host shows for the many talented students enrolled in their classes. This includes private, as well as public, high schools. The teachers and students get involved in setting up the shows that showcase and encourage the emerging talent we have in Stanly county. The shows are typically 1-2 weeks in length for each school, with a reception for the students & their families at the end of the show. Stanly Arts Guild presents Spring Garden Craft Show

After those cold winter days, we are just jumping at the chance to beautify our yards and enjoy being outside. Our customers love being able to shop for unique art for their patios, decks and yards. Vendors are invited to sell their beautiful yard art creations so everyone can add what they like best to their yard, garden, porch, deck, camper, wherever they want to decorate nature! Stanly Arts Guild: Scholarship Application Deadline

The Patricia Blake Hartley Scholarship The Patricia Blake Hartley Scholarship was established as a memorial to one of our long-time members & supporters of the Guild. It is awarded annually to a college student from Stanly County, (preferably a Junior or Senior), who is currently enrolled as a visual arts or arts education major. A check for $1,000, to be applied toward tuition costs, will be paid directly to the college in attendance by the scholarship winner. Stanly Arts Guild Member’s Show

This is a chance for our members to show off their amazing artistic talents. To enter this show you must be a member of the Stanly Arts Guild. (Yes, memberships are accepted during art take-in for the show!) Awarded prizes are 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, with honorable mention ribbons being handed out at the judge’s discretion. Stanly Arts Guild offers Glass Stepping Stone Class

As a former student of Craig Kennedy, Jessica has worked with glass off and on for over 20 years, and has taught others the art of working with glass. This stepping stone class is an introduction for students interested in glass. Skills explored: cutting straight lines in glass, use of glass grinder, molding a stepping stone.
