Stanly County Arts Council & First Bank present the Charlotte Symphony’s “Classics Go to the Movies”

The Stanly County Arts Council and First Bank welcome the Charlotte Symphony back to Albemarle with “Classics Go to the Movies” on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  Conductor Christopher James Lees presents musical selections from classical pieces that were used in some of the greatest movies.  Program includes:

WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART “Nozze di Figaro, Le K. 492”
JOHANN, JR. STRAUSS  “On the Beautiful Blue Danube,” Waltzes, Opus 314
JACQUES OFFENBACH’s  “Can-Can” from The Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld
JOHN WILLIAMS Suite from Jaws: “The Shark Theme”
HAROLD ARLEN/Rothrock and Holcombe  “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz
JOHN WILLIAMS Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone Suite: “Harry’s Wondrous World”
JOHN WILLIAMS  “Adventures on Earth” from E.T.

Reserved seating:  $20 (only available at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center)
