The Rowan Big Band All Stars is an 18-piece community big band in the tradition of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and other great early twentieth-century bandleaders, home-based in Landis, NC and specializing in Great American Songbook favorites and “big band swing.” First organized in 2006, the Band is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving this uniquely American style of music and sharing our appreciation of it with others. Looking forward to getting back to some in-person arts experiences? What better way than to strike up the band! The Stanly County Concert Band along with the Pfeiffer University Concert Band will offer a FREE spring concert this April at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center. Please note that all CDC guidelines will be followed with masks required and social distancing in place.
